LiveWell at Rockwood
Our wellness guide
“Growing up an athlete with two older brothers, I always had the knack for competition and bettering myself and those around me. I grew up in the Kansas City area and moved to the Pacific Northwest in high school. I attended Washington State University and graduated with a BS in Kinesiology. During my master’s studies, I was lucky enough to have a wonderful mentor in the Deaconess and Valley hospital system and was offered a position as their employee Wellness Coordinator. That started my career 20 years ago and I’ve never looked back. I have been blessed to work both in the field and behind the scenes as a wellness coordinator, consultant, and instructor. “

Our resident Chaplain hosts a variety of groups, including men’s and women’s Bible studies, Sunday evening worship, individual spiritual support and guidance. Our relationship with Whitworth University allows our residents to audit courses, use the pool facilities, access the physical therapy training program, and interact with other departments for mentorship opportunities. We offer a variety of art classes, games and entertainment, including water painting, floral arranging, Mah Jongg and cribbage, cornhole tournaments, movies, trivia hour, parties and much more. The residents are always encouraged to bring ideas to the staff for anything they would like to see here on campus!
